Robotic Hypnotic

About this time last year, I had the pleasure of catching Texas boys Riverboat Gamblers play one of the sporadic last few shows at the Knitting Factory's Manhattan location. It was a typically high energy performance and fitting of the venue's respected rock history.

This year sees the band continue to tour 2009's A Choppy Yet Sincere Apology, much of which will be done this coming summer on the Warped Tour. To celebrate they have a new video and free MP3 available of new single Robots May Break Your Heart, broken first on the Warped site here

Though not quite as naggingly urgent as the title track of that album, the song does match the cartoon vibe of the video nicely and has that sing along value that most Gamblers songs seem to effortlessly exude. I

f Warped is your particular cup of tea - and it does look a wee bit better this year (Enter Shikari, Every Time I Die,!) - then be sure to allow time for these Austinites to well & truly rock your face. I did so in 2005 and have been enjoying them ever since.
