#MusicMonday - Songs in 140 Characters (Or Less)

"It is my ambition to say in ten sentences; what others say in a whole book."
- Friedrich Nietzsche

MP3: The New Pornographers - Your Hands (Together)
Opening with a heavy drama, this first new album track hints sounds bold. Like a Twin Cinema track with an injection of testosterone, it's powerful and promising.
MP3: Uniform Motion - Roll Over
Alongside Saving Up For Sunday, this is a choice cut from new album Life. Soothing Jose Gonzalez-esque guitar plucks w/ lilting vox make it so.

MP3: One In A Googolplex - Seven Lives & Tasty Mice
More minimal, cautious acoustic fare but with robotic effects bouncing in & out of the sound in this case. Slightly offbeat feel but no less intriguing for it.
VIDEO: Motion City Soundtrack - Her Words Destroyed My Planet
Expectedly brilliant juxtaposition of critical lyrics w/ upbeat pop-punk melodies, set to awkward choreography. Great tune, OK Go vid, this is not.

MP3: Local Natives - Sun Hands (via Insound)
A stylish, varied mix of breezy, quieter passages set against bursts of uncontrollable guitar raging. and fiery rock approach. An indicator of very good things to come, on this showing.
